The Pursuit of Happiness

Sometimes i sit and wonder. Is everyone chasing the same kind of paradise? Don’t our minds all try to escape and pursue a simplistic dream life?

Of course not. Everyone has their own ideals and interpretations of how our lives should or could be, our own paradise. Everyone, every individual on the planet is different, that’s why the world still spins. Each person has a plan for themselves, a journey, a destination, maybe they’re already there? We all have visions of how the world should be in our eyes, our own kind of paradise. Whether it already exists in the world and the plan is to get there. Or others of us with vast imaginations that see beyond it, creating something magical.
Ask yourself; what would you ask for if you knew the answer would be yes?
Maybe, in a way, we all want the same paradise, after all, isn’t paradise just happiness? To be entirely, completely, unbreakably happy? To answer this question you need to get to the core of who you are. What makes your smile unstoppable. No irrelevant craves, material possesions, wants, desires.

One of the advantages of being born in an affluent society is that if one has any intelligence at all, one will realise that having more and more won’t solve the problem, and happiness does not lie in possesions, or even relationships: the answer lies within ourselves. If we can’t find peace and happiness there, it’s not going to come from the outside – Tenzin Palmo 1943 – Becoming Minimalist

Happiness should not be a destination like so many of us believe. Looking forward, looking backwards. We should be living in today. Live life happy, otherwise what’s the point?

Picture a world where money and status are eliminated. Who would you be? What do you vision? What would make you happy?

I asked myself this question yesterday

There is only one important point to keep in your mind and let it be your guide. No matter what people call you, you are just who you are. Keep to this truth. You must ask yourself how is it you want to live your life? We live and we die, this is the truth. That we can only face alone.. So consider carefully, what prevents you from living the way you want to live your life in happiness? – Dalai Lama XIV

What’s stopping you from achieving what you ask for? From attaining happiness?

Now. Ask yourself again. What would you ask for if you knew the answer would be yes?..

    (Pursuing happiness)

Some people might think that by being liked by everybody is a wonderful thing. Some say ya can’t make everybody like you!! But you can !!! certainly, try to like every body. An easier way to be happy among everybody but mostly ya self , than un happy cos you thought someone maybe doesn’t like you.
    Let’s get friendly!!

I find laughing to be a great form of living in the moment especially with people. Or even on ya own that’s also very fine. Lol.
Let’s laugh more , get friendly n moan less. And be true !!!

    Good work Hilda.
